platelet-rich plasma therapy
Harness your bodyβs natural growth factors to restore function and mobility.Β
The benefits
Accelerate healing
Reduce inflammation and protect damaged tissue from further harm. Healing components in PRP injections help to relieve pain while also promoting tissue repair.
Improve tissue regeneration
The growth factors in PRP promote the regeneration of healthy tissue, improving function and reducing the risk of further injury or degeneration.
Minimize risk
PRP is concentrated from blood withdrawn from your own body. This reduces the risk of adverse or allergic reactions, making it a safe treatment option for injuries and degeneration.

Common questions
How does PRP work?
Step 1. Blood Withdrawal: A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm.
Step 2. Blood Processing: Your blood is processed in a centrifuge to concentrate the healing platelets and growth factors.
Step 3. Injection: The PRP is injected directly into the treatment site to accelerate healing and reduce pain.
Is PRP safe?
Research has shown that PRP injections carry minimal risk of immune reaction or allergic reactions and that complications or side-effects from PRP procedures are extremely rare.
How much does PRP cost?
PRP injections at our NYC clinic start at $1500 for basic joint and tendon injections.
Will I experience any side effects?
You may experience swelling or tenderness at the injection site.
Where do you withdraw the blood?
Blood for PRP treatment is typically withdrawn from a vein in the arm.
Can PRP replace surgery?
PRP is beneficial for recovering from surgery, and it may help to delay surgery. Studies indicate that PRP injections may help to delay the need for a replacement surgery.
A recent study on patients considering total knee replacement found that PRP injections delayed the need for surgery for up to 5 years on average.
