What Are Dezawa MuseCells®?
MUSE stands for Multilineage-differentiating Stress-Enduring — a rare subpopulation of pluripotent-like stem cells discovered by Professor Mari Dezawa at Tohoku University in Japan in 2010. Unlike conventional mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), Muse cells are biologically distinct. They exist naturally within your own tissues — in bone marrow, connective tissue, and peripheral blood — yet make up only 1–2% of a standard MSC sample. This rarity is precisely what makes them so clinically significant.
Muse cells are stress-resilient by nature. Where other stem cells struggle to survive in inflamed or damaged tissue, Muse cells persist, migrate to areas of injury, and differentiate into the precise cell types needed for repair — without genetic reprogramming, and without immune suppression.
